I've been thinking about the &q...Great episode. I've been thinking about the "What's in it for me" approach when giving basic library orientations to new students as part of the admissions process. Most of them have no research topic in mind--no courses yet that have that requirement. Most aren't really even in the inquiring frame of mind. My idea: ask them to shout out their favorite musicians/bands, illnesses that have befallen family members, favorite cars, favorite actors, favorite authors, favorite genres....etc. etc. Then we can research a few using library resources and, hopefully, they'll get something more out of it.<br /><br />thanks for the ideas.juliechttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09090551555954908657noreply@blogger.com
